追赶即追逐，加快速度赶上他人。那么要想追赶，前提是什么呢？刚上初中时，由于小考我考的一塌糊涂，导致信心丧失。我便选择了刘美琦当我的目标。通过一个多月的努力，七年级前几次测验，我的成绩终于远远超过了他。容易自我膨胀的我停下了自己本就不快的步伐。我想反正我们之间的差距还大呢。可龟兔赛跑的一幕在我与刘美琦之间上演了，在一次英语测验中，身为常胜将军的我败了下来。刘美琦以10分的优势把我远远抛在了后面。有人安慰说这是失误，有人劝导说这次题难。可我知道，这都不是理由。是我自己没有去努力，没有去追赶。如果说学习是一场赛跑，那么有自己的目标并去努力追赶的队员即使会有短暂的落后，但终将冲向胜利的终点。但因为一时的胜利就停止追赶的队员，就只有品尝失败的苦果。所以，追赶的前提是不轻易放弃自己的目标。
